Human Resources

The mission of the Dordt human resource office is to ensure the success of one of the college's most important assets, its people. We will work to serve Dordt faculty, administration, and staff by implementing, guiding, and administering policies, procedures, and programs that will fully equip and support them both as college employees and as fellow servants in God's kingdom.

MISSION IMPLEMENTATION

  • Recruit and hire effective staff and administration committed to the college's mission and purpose
  • Provide orientation and ongoing training opportunities dedicated to developing staff excellence
  • Coordinate the performance evaluation process in order to promote a positive and supportive work environment
  • Administer and ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations as well as college policies and procedures
  • Manage compensation and benefit programs and provide effective communication about these programs to all employees
  • Maintain accurate and complete personnel files and employee database information
  • Guide immigration processes and ensure legal compliance for staff, administration, and faculty
  • Monitor and evaluate college policies and procedures in order to address the changing needs of its employees
  • Address workplace safety issues
  • Provide counsel, guidance, and advice on workplace issues in order to promote and assist the development of a workplace environment reflective of loving obedience and service
