Dordt University will host a dedication celebration in the Vos Family Gymnasium on Saturday, October 17, at 10:15 a.m. This event will recognize several newly named spaces within the Rozenboom Family Athletic Center, including the Vos Family Gymnasium and Coaches Court.
The event is an opportunity for the campus community, alumni, and supporters to celebrate God’s provision and express gratitude to the donors and partner organizations whose generosity helped make the expanded and renovated facilities possible.
The spaces to be formally recognized during the dedication event include:
"These completed spaces reflect the commitment of our alumni, families, and friends to invest in our students,” says Dr. Brandon Huisman, vice president of advancement and marketing. “We are grateful for the donors whose support makes it possible for Defender athletes and fans to cultivate community and discipleship for generations to come."
The renovation and expansion of the Rozenboom Family Athletic Center serves Dordt’s growing student body, supporting both varsity athletics and broader health, wellness, and recreational activities across campus.
This represents the completion of the third of four phases of the Rozenboom Family Athletic Center renovations. The final phase will include additional locker rooms, a hospitality space, Dordt Media Network upgrades, and guest accessibility enhancements.
The dedication ceremony is open to the public.
