Dordt College Men's Basketball vs. Peru State

November 18, 2003

(Peru, Nebraska) The Dordt Defenders made it a two-game season sweep of Peru State College tonight, winning 78-65 on the road. Dordt led 21-12 midway through the first half before Peru State made a late charge to close the gap to 30-28 at the break.

Peru then went on an 8-0 run to open the second half to take the lead 36-30. The Defenders retook the lead for good at 42-41 and converted end-of-game free throws to seal the win.

Kyle Van Arendonk had 27 points to lead the Defenders in scoring. Bret Van Wyk added 19 points along with 11 boards and 3 steals. Mike Woods had 15 points and 11 rebounds for Peru State.
