Dordt College Men's Basketball vs. Martin Luther

December 12, 2002

(New Ulm, Minnesota) The Dordt Defenders snapped a 3-game losing streak tonight with a 55-52 win over Martin Luther College. Dordt led by as many as 14 points in the second half, but Martin Luther came back to within one, 53-52. Shawn De Stigter made two free throws to give the Defenders the final three-point lead. Dordt was led in scoring by Evan Beimers with 15 points. Tom Engelbrecht had 17 points and 13 rebounds for Martin Luther. A three point attempt by Martin Luther rattled out at the buzzer preserving the win for Dordt--snapping a three game losing skid.
