Dordt College Men's Soccer vs. Iowa Wesleyan

(Mt. Pleasant, Iowa) The Dordt Defenders earned a non conference win over Iowa Wesleyan Thursday in men's soccer by a score of 4-2. Travis De Jong set up the first goal with an assist to Kyle Van Andel with 17 minutes gone in the game. Two minutes later Brett Van Andel scored on an assist from Mike Oppeneer.

The Defenders took a 3-0 lead on a Kyle Van Andel assist to Oppeneer off a corner kick. Wesleyan cut the lead to 3-2 with a pair of goals at the 34 and 37 minute marks on a penalty kick and a break away to send it to halftime 3-2.

The Defenders put the game away with three minutes left when Oppeneer scored on a penalty kick. Tim Klein was in goal for the Defenders.
