Dordt College Men's Soccer vs. Briar Cliff

(Sioux City, Iowa) A Scott Van Wylen goal off an assist by Tom Stepanak allowed the Dordt Defender men's soccer team to win its fourth contest in a row and lift its final regular season record to 8-8-2 overall and 5-5-2 in the Great Plains Athletic Conference with a 1-0 decision over Briar Cliff in Sioux City.

Dordt managed to outshoot the hosts 7-3 and got a shutout performance by its defense again as Brian Verwolf helped Dordt post its fourth shutout in five games with three saves.

Dordt now awaits the post-season tournament assignments which will be released at the conclusion of play on Saturday, October 30. GPAC Tournament play starts Thursday, November 4 for the men's soccer teams.
