The University's licensed therapists strive to provide faith-based Christian counseling with respect for the unique needs of each client in a safe, confidential environment, relying on God to bring restoration.
On-campus mental health counseling is available to all full-time Dordt students during the academic school year. A limited number of sessions per year are available to students at no cost. Referrals for off-campus counseling are made for long-term needs, on-going therapy, more intensive services, or specialized services. Off-campus referrals may also be made due to conflicts of interest, waiting lists, counseling needs through summer months, or scheduling conflicts between the student and counselor. Costs of off-campus referrals are the financial responsibility of the student.
