A student's housing contract includes lodging for the entire academic year with the exception of Christmas break and spring break.

Over the summer, Dordt University provides housing to:
- Students who are pre-registered for classes in the fall and employed on Dordt University's campus, with 25 or more hours of work per week
- Students who are pre-registered for classes in the fall and have an off-campus internship required in their major, with 40 hours of work per week
If a position does not offer sufficient hours, please contact the Financial Aid Office to request additional hours on campus.
For students working on campus, a $200 payment is required up front.
For students interning, a $100 deposit plus $300 rent payment are required up front. The deposit will be returned (less damage charges).
To live off campus during the academic year, students must be at least 22 years of age or live with parents.
