Agri-Business

Dordt College is currently seeking a faculty member to teach undergraduate courses in agri-business and agriculture beginning August 2016. In addition to teaching, this position would also include participation as a full team member in department and college administrative tasks (including curriculum development and review, assessment, development of new initiatives, student recruiting and advising, and committee assignments). Qualifications for this position include a masterís degree with significant teaching experience. An earned doctoral degree is preferred.

Art

The Art Department at Dordt College seeks a dynamic classroom teacher committed to the Christian faith, to fill a full-time faculty appointment beginning August 2016. Primary responsibilities include teaching a range of studio art courses that could include Art Theory and selections from either Motion Graphics and Web Design, or Sculpture, Ceramics, and 3D Design. The preferred candidate will have at least three years of teaching experience and a M.F.A. in studio art, motion graphics/web design, or digital art.

The Dordt College Business Administration Department is accepting applications for a full-time faculty member to teach introductory and advanced undergraduate marketing courses. The ability to communicate with passion and illustrate marketing course content from a Reformed Christian perspective is critical. The Communication Department at Dordt College seeks a dynamic classroom teacher with a record of demonstrated excellence in college instruction to fill a full-time faculty appointment beginning August 1, 2016. Primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in communication and related subjects, as well as partnering with colleagues in developing departmental programs to prepare students for careers and service in communication.

A Masterís degree in communication or related field required, as well as a record of professional work in communication. A Ph.D. is preferred. A commitment to Christian teaching from the perspective of the Reformed faith is essential.

Construction Management

Dordt College is seeking a faculty member to lead its construction management program in collaboration with the business administration and engineering departments on campus beginning August 2016. In addition to teaching introductory and upper level construction management courses, the faculty member would advise construction management students and assist in developing internship opportunities for these students. As the primary leader of this program, this position should expect to continue to build an advisory constituent network to support the program. Preference will be given to candidates with industry experience in construction management and a graduate degree in construction management, business, construction engineering, civil engineering, architecture, or other related field.

Director of the Andreas Center

Dordt College seeks an innovative person with a passion for Christian higher education to serve in the role of Director of the Andreas Center beginning in summer of 2016. The Director provides leadership for the college's Andreas Center for Reformed Scholarship and Service.

The Director of the Andreas Center should creatively support the advancement of distinctive Reformational activities, conferences, authors, and scholarly activities; encouraging faculty, students and the broader community to ďreformingĒ activities that impact culture in a Christ-centered manner is of primary importance.

Expanding Dordt College's impact through high caliber and innovative seminars, workshops, and other outreach activities focused on Dordtís Reformational mission is a priority for this role. As the Director of the Andreas Center role is half-time, additional duties to fulfill a full-time role may include teaching and/or administrative leadership, based on the professional skills of the selected candidate. The Engineering Department at Dordt College is currently seeking a faculty member to teach engineering courses that serve one or more potential growth areas in the engineering program beginning August 2016. The department seeks candidates with qualifications and experience in chemical engineering, mechatronics engineering, civil-construction engineering, or other related engineering discipline. Preference will be given to candidates with the ability to teach general science and technology courses which serve the core education program and programs outside their core discipline. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of industry and/or research experience. A masterís degree in engineering is required; a Ph.D. is preferred.
