The Dordt College Defender women's golf team finished fifth in the 14 team field at the Defender Golf Invite on Friday, September 9.

Dordt carded a total of 354 on a day when the winner was Morningside with a 327, narrowly nipping Dakota Wesleyan for the team title. The Tigers scored a 328 on a sunny and breezy day at The Ridge.

Dordt's top golfer was Micayla Weaver with an 86 while Justean De Groot scored an 88. The two were 17th and 28th overall in the 71 golfer field. Renae Visser and Kim Brumfield both had 90s to complete the Dordt scoring.

Dakota Wesleyan's Dani Ballet was the individual medalist with a 73. The Ridge was set up for par-71 and 5880 yards.

This was the final tune up for the Defenders before hosting GPAC Qualifier #1 on Friday, September 16 at The Ridge.
