Dordt College Men's Golf at Northwestern Invite

The Dordt College4 Defender golf team claimed first place in the Northwestern Invite held at the Landsmeer Golf Course in Orange City, Iowa. The Defenders shot a 292 behind Jared Rempel's 67 and Jordan Janz's 71. The two were medalist and runner-up medalist respectivley. Dordt won the team title by six strokes over Sioux Falls. The Cougars carded a 298.

Brad Evenson and Collin Broekhuis had a 74 and 80 respectively for the first Dordt unit. Lance Dieleman shot an 82.

Dordt fielded a second team and Ryan Kamp led that group with a 75 while Ben Christians carded a 79. Michael Behnke and Tyler Lyon had an 80 and Andrew Borger an 81. David De Wit and Kevin Fopma had an 86 and 88 respectively.

Par at the 6411 yard Landsmeer is 71.

Dordt will close out their 2009 season with round #4 of the GPAC Qualifier on April 28 in Sioux City, Iowa.
