September 22, 2008

(Sioux City, Iowa)

The Dordt College Defender golf team grabbed the day one lead at the Briar Cliff Invitational in Sioux City, Iowa on Monday, September 22. The Defenders shot a 316 to take a six shot lead over a team from Wayne State heading into the final day of the event on Tuesday, September 23.

With numbers ballooning in windy conditions, the Defenders were led by Jared Rempel's 73, tying him for second with Justin Zebolsky (Midland Lutheran) and Chris Wolak (Briar Cliff). The trio is one shot behind Josh Reed of Buena Vista.
