My final position before I left the firm was as the controller. I hold a B.A. in Accounting/Business Administration from Dordt in 1988 and an M.B.A. with H.R. emphasis from Oklahoma Christian University in 2017. I earned my C.P.A. in 1990. I acquired the SHRM-SCP (Society for H.R. Mgmt Senior Certified Professional) certification in 2019. I have been a club sponsor for Defender Capital Management, Dordt's student-led investing club, and I taught Corporate Finance and Advanced Corporate Finance in the [Finance Emphasis](https://www.dordt.edu/academics/programs/business-administration-ba/finance). I now focus solely on [Human Resources](https://www.dordt.edu/academics/programs/business-administration-ba/human-resource-management) and [Accounting](https://www.dordt.edu/academics/programs/accounting-ba) areas in teaching Strategic H.R., Organizational Behavior, and Payroll Accounting & Benefits/Compensation in the H.R. emphasis and teaching Auditing, Government & Non-Profit Accounting, Fraud Examination, and Accounting Information Systems. I also teach Professional Practices to help prepare our students for the job search process and our capstone ethics course, Senior Seminar. Additionally, I am the club sponsor for the Women in Business student chapter.
