Kaysha Steiger serves as Director of Alumni and Parent Relations at Dordt University, where she connects with alumni and parents through events, communication, and — one of her favorite parts of the role — travel to the communities that shaped them.
What she finds most meaningful is the continuity she witnesses across those connections.
"At Dordt, we are all serving God and working toward the same mission," she says. "I love that our alumni carry Dordt's mission into their work too. We are all called to serve as Kingdom citizens wherever we are, and I get to see that in the lives of those I connect with."
That sense of shared calling anchors how she approaches the work.
"As members of Defender Nation, we work together until all is made new," she says. "That's the driving force behind what I do."
Outside of work, Kaysha spends time hiking in national parks, running, and walking. She also makes time for reading, and her colleagues have come to appreciate another contribution she brings to the office: fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies.
