Haan Auditorium. Community members of all ages are encouraged to attend and enjoy an evening of gorgeous music and fairy-tale magic. Kids are also invited to dress up and get pictures with the cast after the performance. Designed to be engaging and family-friendly, the one-hour performance blends humor, singing, and theatrical charm to introduce audiences to the world of opera. “Hosting artists from Des Moines Metro Opera gives our community a wonderful opportunity to experience professional opera close to home,” Sioux Center Arts Director Cailan Matthews says. “Not everyone has the chance to travel to larger cities for performances like this, so we’re excited to bring this classic story and beautiful music to Sioux Center.” Sioux Center Arts is incredibly grateful that Dordt University will host this performance, Matthews adds. “As with many of our arts events, finding an available venue can be one of the biggest challenges. Dordt’s willingness to collaborate and provide the B.J.
