Dordt’s Student Services works to ensure students who want to vote have the resources, in addition to the knowledge, to do so. “We plan to provide shuttles on Election Day to transport students if they need a ride,” says Derek Buteyn, director of students and residence life as well as associate dean of students at Dordt. In addition to providing students with timely information about voting and registration process, Student Services has also planned events on campus for students to engage in meaningful conversations surrounding politics. [Buteyn](https://www.dordt.edu/people/derek-buteyn)says Student Services hosted an event on October 22 that included “a panel of professors for a non-partisan discussion on voting as a Christian.” This event was part of the Dordt’s Crunchtime Series, organized by student leaders to discuss current events and important topics.
