These events are free and open to the public. The instrumental ensembles concert will be held on Thursday, May 1 at 7 p.m. in the B.J. Haan Auditorium. It will feature the Campus-Community band, Chamber Orchestra, and Wind Symphony. The program includes music performances ranging from classics to modern works by 21st century composers, culminating with the Wind Symphony’s presentation of “Symphony No. 7” by Davis Maslanka. ![](https://d3evso2dxyohou.cloudfront.net/generalUploads/concertchoir.jpg?mode=fit&pos=center-center&w=57&h=65&c=38e52482&v=8488b46fd623692a59af3704f1a8e2d419c7c07787a04ed5813c9a727fddc1cc) The choral ensembles concert will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, May 2, in the B.J. Haan Auditorium. It will feature four Dordt choral groups: Belle Voce (women’s chorus), directed by Dr. Carrie Groenewold; Canons of Dordt (men’s chorus), directed by Tim Van Voorst; and Chorale and Concert Choir, both directed by Dr. Ryan Smit. The program includes a wide range of choral music, from classic works by Mendelssohn, Pablo Casals and Randall Thompson to modern arrangements of psalms, folk songs and pop tunes, as well as new works by 21st-century composers.
