Sponsored by the Kielstra Center for Research and Grants and the Hulst Library, Dordt Writes highlights the many ways Dordt professors engage with their disciplines and communities through scholarship, teaching, and creative expression. Lightning talks—brief, focused presentations that distill complex ideas—will feature faculty who explore topics ranging from theology and worship to early childhood learning and public scholarship. Each presentation will demonstrate how Dordt faculty connect research to practice and live out the university’s mission in innovative ways. “Dordt Writes” is part of an ongoing series that showcases the breadth of faculty scholarship at Dordt. Previous events have focused on peer-reviewed publications, while this year’s gathering spotlights creative works and projects that extend Dordt’s mission beyond the classroom and into the community.
