# Dordt University invites the community to a Wind Ensembles Christmas concert

Dordt University will host a Wind Ensembles Christmas concert on Friday, December 5 at 7 p.m. in the B.J. Haan Auditorium.

 ![]()Dordt University will host a Wind Ensembles Christmas concert on Friday, December 5 at 7 p.m. in the B.J. Haan Auditorium.

 

The program features a range of music celebrating the Christmas season, including Alfred Reed’s *Greensleeves* and *Russian Christmas Music*—a highly regarded piece in the canon of works for wind bands, a selection of seasonal favorites performed by the Campus-Community Band. Additionally, Jason Vander Brake, assistant professor of theatre arts at Dordt, will join the band for a narration of Gary Fry’s *The Nativit*y.

According to Dr. Onsby Rose, director of instrumental activities at Dordt, this concert is an opportunity for attendees to “enjoy the work of our students to bring this music to the height of their abilities as well as to celebrate the coming Christmas season.”

The event is open to the public and free to attend.
