The free exhibit, “It’s Not That Deep,” will be on display from March 24 to April 20 in the lower level of the Campus Center, across from Student Services. Brouwer’s collection features a variety of ceramic arts such as plates, bowls, and a 6-foot, 10-piece ceramic manta ray. "I often find there is a large gap between people in the art community and those outside of it," says Brouwer. "This show is attempting to bridge that gap by showing the potential for everyone to be creative. Art influences our daily lives in unexpected ways—the clothes we wear, the ads we watch, the aesthetics we enjoy. As image bearers of a creative God, we were made to reflect Him in His creativity." “Art doesn’t have to be lofty or elitist to be meaningful. It is a tool for joy, connection, and expression, created for something beyond the self,” she adds.
