# Dordt junior Abraham Hall to perform piano recital

The community is invited to the piano recital of Dordt University junior Abraham Hall. The free recital will be held on Friday, November 17, at 7:30 p.m. in the B.J. Haan Auditorium.

 ![]()The community is invited to the piano recital of Dordt University junior Abraham Hall. The free recital will be held on Friday, November 17, at 7:30 p.m. in the B.J. Haan Auditorium.

Recital repertoire includes *Partita No. 6 in E Minor* by Bach; *Intermezzi, Op. 117* by Brahms; and *Piano Sonata No. 30, Op. 109* by Beethoven.

Hall, of Machesney Park, Illinois, is majoring in Biology with a Music Minor. He has studied piano with MaryLou Wielenga since 2021 and is the recipient of the Ringerwole Piano Scholarship. He is also the recipient of the Kay Hotchkiss Organ Scholarship, awarded by the Rockford, Illinois chapter of the American Guild of Organists.

## Freshman agriculture major selected for Iowa Corn’s College Advisory Team

Stephen Leinen, a freshman agriculture: plant science major of Harlan, Iowa, has been selected to be part of the College Advisory Team for Iowa Corn’s 2023-24 program. He is one of 23 students selected from colleges and universities across the state of Iowa to participate in the advisory team.

## Dordt University celebrates Academic Writing Month
