Dordt instrumental music education major to give senior recital on April 18

Tori Ensink, a senior studying K-12 instrumental music education at Dordt, will give a percussion recital on Saturday, April 18 at 7 p.m. in the Jim and Marilyn Dean Recital Hall.

Her recital will include a range of music for percussion such as marimba and timpani, including “Golden Age of the Xylophone,” a virtuosic solo and American tune. Ensink will be accompanied by Kaitlyn Dykstra on piano, as well as Josiah Vos and Matthew Taylor on snare drum.

Originally from Hudsonville, Michigan, Ensink has served as an accompanist for several fellow student recitals, is a Wind Symphony section leader, and featured soloist on tour at Dordt.
