Based on the principles explored in Mulder’s recent book, “[Teach Like a Human](https://cace.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/CACE-AI-PD-Info-Sheet.pdf)” is designed to help school leaders and faculty think deeply, philosophically and practically about teaching in the age of artificial intelligence in a collaborative setting. “Participation in this learning opportunity will allow teachers to gain a deeper understanding of the role AI can play in the teaching and learning experience at their school,” says Dr. Tim Van Soelen, executive director of educational centers at Dordt. “This understanding recognizes the fact that technology is a ‘burden and a blessing,’ and it is our hope to foster a collaborative experience that helps teachers identify the possibilities of using AI for their work—both intentional and unintentional consequences of inviting AI into the teaching and learning.” This opportunity will be offered in two formats: online only and a hybrid of online and in-person learning. The online only option provides access to eight self-paced learning modules through Canvas, including session recordings, templates, AI prompt libraries, and policy samples. Participants also receive monthly coaching sessions with Dr. Mulder, can join Affinity Groups for Modules 5–8, and receive copies of Mulder’s book, [*Teach Like a Human*](https://www.amazon.com/Teach-Like-Human-Playful-Practice/dp/B0FSBQJD1K). Ongoing email support is included, along with an optional continuing education add-on. > "We know that we will need Christian school teachers and leaders to be part of the ‘wisdom of the crowd’ when it comes to using AI in their work. We want to identify ways that AI can help teachers continue to create Christ-centered, academically excellent learning spaces and experiences for students." The in-person & online option includes all of the features of the online only option, but it also includes two four-hour in-person professional development sessions with Dr. Mulder. These sessions can be scheduled on consecutive days or as separate events and are offered on a limited, first-come, first-served basis. “CACE exists to develop school leaders, to promote innovative practices, and to network faith-based schools,” says Van Soelen. “This learning opportunity hits all three of our pillars. We know that we will need Christian school teachers and leaders to be part of the ‘wisdom of the crowd’ when it comes to using AI in their work. We want to identify ways that AI can help teachers continue to create Christ-centered, academically excellent learning spaces and experiences for students.
