# Brown to Attend Dordt

Alex Brown has announced his intention to attend Dordt University.

 

 

 

 ![]()Alex Brown, a senior at Heritage Christian Academy (Colorado), has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender basketball program.

Brown is a 6-5 center who averaged 10.6 points per game with 12.5 rebounds per contest. He served as his team's captain and was an academic all-state selection along with being named all-conference honorable mention.

Alex is the son of Dale and Valerie Brown of Fort Collins, Colorado. He plans to study [Mechanical Engineering](https://www.dordt.edu/academics/undergraduate-programs/4-year-programs/engineering).

Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian university rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).

U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
