Vogel To Join Defenders Soccer Program

(Tuesday, March 22, 2022; Sioux Center, Iowa) - Samuel Vogel has announced his intention to attend Dordt University and join the Defender men’s soccer program.

“Sam fills an immediate need at outside midfield,” commented Dordt Head Coach Ryan Gresse. “We were drawn to his infectious personality and his positive outlook on life. We look forward to watching Sam grow at Dordt and we’re excited to have him on campus next fall.”

Vogel currently plays for the SKG Bickenbach Club in Germany.

“I chose Dordt because of the special community, as well as their outstanding campus and facilities, “said Vogel. “Dordt has a strong Business program and I look forward to continuing my soccer playing career as well.”

Vogel plans to study Business Administration at Dordt.

Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).   

U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
