Dordt will play Central Christian in McPherson, Kansas on Friday, January 28 at 5:00 pm and will face Kansas Wesleyan at 1:30 on Saturday hosted by Central Christian.

CENTRAL CHRISTIAN

Central Christian’s program is in the first year of existence and is currently 0-2 in a pair of non-conference matches with losses to Ottawa (Arizona) and Trinity Christian (Illinois).

Composite stats are currently unavailable from Central Christian. Kolby Campbell had five kills and Micah Avendano had four against Ottawa with Chris Santana putting up 10 assists. Against Trinity Christian the Tigers were led by Joel Creary with six kills and Santana had nine assists.

KANSAS WESLEYAN

Kansas Wesleyan is 0-3 this season and have losses to Graceland, Ottawa and Westcliff and the Coyotes have been swept in all three contests. Christopher Perez and Victor Loya each had seven kills in a loss to Ottawa and Colton Sessions had 15 assists. Wesleyan lost to Graceland to open the season with Loya putting away 10 kills and Perez had seven. Sessions got 16 assists. Kansas Wesleyan’s cumulative stats are unavailable.

DORDT

Dordt lost a pair to Clarke and Viterbo last weekend to open the season.

Brady Frost and Luke Nelson each had 2.7 kills per set so far and Andres Guzman had 2.2 kills per outing. Lukas Van Groningen ha a 7.3 assists per set average and Boris Le had nine. Robert Piekarz and Guzman average 3.4 and 2.6 digs per set respectively and Dylan Kooiman and Nelson have 10 and 8 block assists respectively through two matches. Frost and Levi Ewald each have four ace serves.

Dordt averages 10.2 kills per set while opponents are at 8.8. Dordt also records 2.1 blocks per outing and teams get 1.6 per set against them.

RECENTLY

Dordt lost to Viterbo on Saturday, January 22 by a 25-14, 25-16, 20-25, 25-20 margin.  Frost had 11 kills and Guzman and Nelson had eight and seven respectively. Van Groningen put up 29 assists and Frost had three service aces. Nelson and Kooiman each had four block assists.
