“We are excited to have Lydia committing to Dordt and joining the track and field program.  She will continue the legacy of Herman siblings as a talented sprinter and a great teammate.  We are looking forward to helping her reach her potential as an athlete and a person,” said Dordt track and field coach Craig Heynen.

Herman has personal bests of 13.42 in the 100 meters and 27.07 in the 200 meters.

“My older siblings attended Dordt University and have really enjoyed and loved it.  I am really excited to join by siblings in Iowa and make my own memories at Dordt,” said Herman.

Lydia is the daughter of Russell and Laura Herman of Boise, Idaho. She plans to study education at Dordt.
