(Thursday, January 13, 2022; Sioux Center, Iowa) Rodrigo Tavares, a student at Colegio Estadual Governardor Roberto Santos, has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender soccer program.

Tavares has played striker and midfielder during his career.

“Dordt is a university that cares about you as a person and will help you develop in all areas of life,” said Tavares.

He is the son of Evanio Rodrigues Tavares and Cynara Maria Novais Lima from Brazil.  He is undecided on his intended field of study.
