Women's Track and Field At SDSU This Weekend

The Event... The Dordt University women's track and field team continues its indoor season this weekend at a meet hosted by South Dakota State University in Brookings, S.D. Friday's meet, the D-II Open, will be held at the Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex, and begins at 1:30pm.

This is the fourth of seven regular season meets during the indoor season, prior to the GPAC Championship on Feb. 18-19.

Teams Competing...More than a dozen teams are scheduled to compete this weekend, including several from the NCAA D-II, D-III and NAIA ranks. Dordt is one of six from the NAIA to compete, joining Dakota State, Dakota Wesleyan, Mount Marty, Morningside and Northwestern.

Last Time Competing...Six members of the Dordt University women's track and field team won their respective event at last weekend's home meet, the Dordt Open. Jessica Kampman met the provisional mark in the 3K.
