Eidsness Commits To Defender Golf

(Thursday, January 13, 2022; Sioux Center, Iowa) Jillian Eidsness, a senior at Yankton High School (South Dakota), has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender golf team.

“We are very excited to have Jillian join our team. As a multi sport athlete in high school, Jillian bring a great level of competitiveness coupled with coachability. We are excited to see how she develops and contributes to our team,” said Dordt golf coach Jon Crane.

Eidsness was an all-ESD selection in 2021 and also earned all-state honors that same season. She was on a Yankton High School team that placed sixth at the state meet in 2021 and she had a low score of 83 in 2021.

“I chose to attend Dordt because I was looking for a smaller, Christ-centered college where I could look forward to developing lifelong friendships, receiving a good education and growing in my faith,” said Eidsness.

Jillian is the daughter of Will and Hilary Eidsness of Yankton, South Dakota and is undecided on her field of study.

Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).

U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
