Football Finishes Season 23rd In Voting

(Wednesday, November 16; Sioux Center, Iowa) The Dordt Defenders moved two spots to no. 23 in the final in-season poll by the NAIA football coaches. The Defenders closed their season with a 77-6 win over Jamestown on Saturday afternoon, November 13 and finished the season with a 7-3 record, the fourth straight season the Defenders have finished with seven wins or more.

Dordt earned 44 points in the balloting and are one of five teams in the top-25 with three losses. The Defenders spent the entire season in the top-25 and finished third in the GPAC behind no. 2 Morningside and no. 4 Northwestern. 

Dordt finished the season outscoring teams 43-19 and outgaining teams on average 524-335.
