Dordt will travel to face Hastings and Doane on Friday and Saturday, October 22 and 23. The matches against Hastings begin with junior varsity at 6:00 and varsity at 7:30 and the Saturday matches with Doane start with junior varsity play at 3:30 and varsity action at 5:00.

The Broncos are 14-10 this season and 5-7 in GPAC play and stand 8-1 in home matches.  

Emily Krolikowski is the team leader with 3.11 kills per set and Syndey Mullin is at 2.38 and Miriam Miller puts down 1.99 while Amani Monroe accounts for 1.66 kills per contest. Miller is good for 3.33 digs per set and Ireland Curry averages 3.32. Makenna Asher and Jaisee Stinson average 5.46 and 4.33 assists per set respectively in the two-setter offense and Ava Lovitt leads the team with 25 service aces. 

Hastings puts down 11.79 kills per set on average while allowing 11.38 and the Broncos have a team kill efficiency of .189 and score 1.99 points per set on blocks. 


Doane is 18-7 this season and 6-6 in league play.  The Tigers are 3-3 in their last six matches and lost two matches this past weekend to Jamestown and Dakota Wesleyan.    

Doane is averaging 12.8 kills per set with 11.4 kills allowed and have a .204 kill efficiency while giving up 1.7 points per set on blocks and getting 1.92.  The Tigers also have a 125-83 ace serves edge on opponents this season.  

Gabby Menghini is averaging 3.11 kills per set and she gets to 2.54 digs per outing.  Genna Ryan-Piasecki is averaging 2.67 kills per set and Kirsten Bures is at 2.24. Regan Peterson leads the defense off the net with a 4.34 digs average and Ryan-Piasecki is the leading blocker with a 1.02 average.  Jaime Renshaw is putting up 9.82 assists per outing and has 26 service aces which is second to Kennedy Scheele’s 33.  


The Defenders are 13-7 this season and 5-6 in league play and are 4-4 at home, 3-3 on the road and 6-0 in neutral site contests.  

The Defenders averaging 12.3 kills per set with 12.2 given up and the Defenders have a .192 kill efficiency while recording 2.17 blocks per set and give up 1.68 points per set on blocks. Dordt has a 101-79 service ace advantage this season.  

Corrina Timmermans is averaging 3.59 kills per set with a .199 kill efficiency and he has 2.26 digs per outing. Jessi Franken is averaging 2.6 kills per outing with a .233 kill efficiency and Alli Timmermans is at 2.5 kills. Erica Bousema gets up 5.55 digs per set and Franken is the team leader in active players with jut under a block per outing. Makenna Kooima and Mia Gamet average 2.3 and 2.4 digs per set and Gamet has 18 ace serves this year while Corrina Timmermans is the team leader in ace serves with 26.  


The Broncos lost to Dakota Wesleyan and Jamestown on the road on October 15 and 16 in their most recent play.  Against Jamestown on Saturday Hastings was beaten 25-16, 25-8, 25-14 with Miriam Miller recording six kills and Mullin five. Hastings did not record a block in the match while Jamestown had four points scored off of blocks while recording a .323 kill efficiency.  

Doane dropped a 3-0 decision to Jamestown on Friday and fell to Dakota Wesleyan 3-1 by scores of 25-16, 21-25, 26-24, 25-18 on Saturday.  Ryan-Piasecki had 18 kills in the loss and Simonie Mendenhall had seven kills. Renshaw put up 40 assists and had 11 digs.  Peterson had a team high 22 digs and the Tigers had seven service aces.  

Dordt beat Mount Marty and lost to the College of Saint Mary on Saturday by set scores of 25-21, 25-20, 25-18 with Corrina Timmermans recording 12 kills and Franken nine. Megan Raszler lofted 26 assists and Bousema had 14 digs.  


Dordt leads the series with Doane 32-7 and with Hastings 25-18. The Defenders beat Doane on October 17, 2020 by set scores of 25-23, 25-11, 25-19.  Jessi Franken had 10 kills and Brenna Krommendyk nine in the win and Megan Raszler put up 20 assists. Hannah Connelly and Karsyn Winterfeld each had 12 digs. Gabby Menghini had eight kills to lead Doane and Renshaw had 16 assists.  

Hastings and Dordt met on October 16 and Dordt prevailed 23-25, 25-20, 25-27, 25-18 as Franken had 15 kills and Alli Timmermans 12 while Corina Beimers put up 25 assists and Raszler had 22. Hastings was led by Lucy Skoch with 11 and Marlee Taylor and Sydney Mullin recorded 10 kills each. Dordt totaled eight service aces in the win.  


Dordt will be on the road to face Northwestern on Wednesday night, October 27 before closing out the home portion of the schedule against Midland on Saturday, October 30.
