Dordt hockey returns home for a Defender Days matchup with Nebraska-Omaha. Opening faceoff is scheduled for 8:00 PM at Vernon Arena.

The Mavericks have gone 0-4 on the year year after matchups with Missouri and Dordt. Nebraska-Omaha is led in scoring by Logan Mercier and Ryan Huppe, each with three goals this season.


The Defenders are 4-1-0 on the season and currently have 11 points in the ACHA standings. Kyle Espenson leads the team in goals with seven on the season. Noah Wilmes and Alex Espenson have five goals each this year.


Nebraska-Omaha's last matchup was with the Defenders on October 1-2, where the Mavericks fell in back-to-back contests. Logan Mercier scored three goals in a 7-6 loss on October 1.

Dordt went 2-1 on their three-game road trip, falling to Air Force 6-3, defeating Colorado Springs 11-3, and taking a 4-2 win versus Colorado School of Mines.


The Defenders went 2-0 versus Nebraska-Omaha in the opening weekend of the season, defeating the Mavericks 7-6 (OT) and 4-0 in consecutive games.
