“We are excited to have Jackson joining the Defender golf team. Jackson has worked hard to develop his skills and it is showing in his scores. We look forward to Jackson bringing his work ethic and competitiveness to our team and pushing those around him to improve,” said Dordt men’s golf coach Jon Crane.
Stahl has a season average of 79.5 and earned medalist honors at two events this season and runner-up medalist honors twice. One of those runner-up finishes was at the conference championship where he helped Bridgewater-Emery to a team runner-up finish.
“Dordt University was the only school I truly considered. The size and location of the school is perfect for me. I also feel that it is a great opportunity to grow in my faith and have a Christian education. After reaching out, I had a great virtual meeting with Coach Crane. I knew right away that Dordt would be the perfect place for me to grow academically, spiritually, and as a person. I'm very excited to be a part of the golf program at Dordt and improve my game!’ said Stahl.
Jackson is the son of Kevin and Tara Stahl of Bridgewater, South Dakota. He plans to study Business Administration at Dordt.
