GPAC Men's Basketball Tournament Field Announced

(Saturday, February 20; Sioux Center, Iowa) The Great Plains Athletic Conference Postseason Men’s Basketball Tournament field is set for play and the Dordt Defenders hold the no. 6 seed in the eight-team field which has quarterfinal round action scheduled for Wednesday, February 24.

The Defenders take an 18-7 overall record and 13-7 conference mark into a game with Jamestown on Wednesday night in Jamestown, North Dakota.  The Jimmies are 18-7 overall and finished 14-6 in the GPAC and hold the no. 3 seed in the field. Dordt and Jamestown split their two previous meetings with a Dordt win on January 14, 87-68 and a Jamestown win on December 8, 91-74 in Jamestown.

The winner of the contest will play in the semifinals against the Briar Cliff-Northwestern winner on Saturday, February 27 at the site of the highest seed.  The championship is scheduled for Tuesday, March 2 at the highest remaining seed.
