Arms and Man rehearsal

On October 22-24 at 7:30 p.m., Dordt Theatre Arts will be presenting Arms and the Man, a comedy by George Bernard Shaw. The general public is invited, however tickets are limited for the live performance in the Fourth Avenue Theatre. A professional recording can also be reserved for watching online. For more information about tickets or the recording visit

The story highlights a Bulgarian family in 1885, and everyone in the well-to-do Petkoff home is playing their part quite nicely—until a surprising stranger comes crashing in. The family's lofty, romantic ideals meet the gritty practicalities of survival, both in war and in love. Hilarious confusions ensue.

Masks are required for all theatre attendees and seating will be socially distanced. Dordt University continues to monitor how Covid-19 affects our campus and community. Please visit on the day of the event to see if there are any restrictions on in-person attendance or cancellations
