Swalve Commits To Hockey

(Tuesday, August 4; Sioux Center, Iowa) Bryce Swalve, a student at NorthStar Christian Academy (Minnesota), has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender hockey program.
Swalve, a 6’0” defenseman, finished with four assists in 24 games played during the 2019-20 season. Two seasons ago, he scored one goal and tallied five assists through 53 games with the Northstar Knights 18U team. In 2019, Swalve was a member of the championship team at the CCM World Invite Prep Invitational and helped the Knights to a 2nd-place finish in the 2019-20 NAPHL season.
Bryce is the son of Ryan and Angela Swalve of Sioux City, Iowa. He plans to study Accounting at Dordt.
Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian university rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender hockey program is a part of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).
U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
