Dekkers To Attend Dordt

(Tuesday, May 19; Sioux Center, Iowa) Jenna Dekkers, a senior at Unity Christian High School (Iowa), has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender softball program.

Dekkers has played third base and second base during her career for the Knights.

"I chose to commit to Dordt University because of the atmosphere. The people at Dordt are kind and caring and help you grow not only in your schooling but in your relationship with God. They help you see God in the career you are preparing for so when you do go out into the world you can live for and serve God," said Dekkers.

Jenna is the daughter of Bryan and Deanne Dekkers of Hawarden, Iowa. She plans to study Digital Media at Dordt.

Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian university rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). 

U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine,, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
