Van Hulzen Commits To Dordt

(Monday, May 11; Sioux Center, Iowa) Elianna Van Hulzen, a senior at Apple Valley High School (Minnesota), has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender soccer program.
Van Hulzen served as a team captain for the 2019 Apple Valley team and was an honorable mention all-conference selection that season along with garnering academic all-section honors. She had a .879 save percentage in 2019 and served as a Captain of Fellowship of Christian Athletes during her junior and senior season. Van Hulzen also played soccer for the St. Croix Soccer Club.
Elianna is the daughter of Jon and Heidi Van Hulzen of St. Paul, Minnesota. She plans to study Nursing at Dordt.
Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian university rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).
U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
