Quintanilla To Join Defender Soccer

(Monday, May 11; Sioux Center, Iowa) Anisa Quintanilla, a senior at Ontario Christian High School (California), has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender soccer program.
"We are super excited to have an athlete like Anisa join our program. Anisa will be a great addition to the team, adding not only to the high caliber athletes we are bringing in, but also adding to our team cuture through her personality. Anisa is the type of player who is dedicated to her teammates, her academics and growing in her soccer knowledge and ability. We are excited to have her become a Defender," said Dordt soccer coach Alex Durbin.
Quintanilla was a two-time first-team all-league performer and also an all-CIF pick. She has played center back and forward and also competed for the Velocity Club program.
"I chose to commit because I believe I will best grow in my faith at Dordt. I have heard many great things about the community and I get to play a sport I love," said Quintanilla.
Anisa is the daughter of Sandra and Tony Quintanilla of Ontario, California. She plans to study Nursing at Dordt.
Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian university rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).
U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
