Weg To Golf For Defenders

(Wednesday, February 5; Sioux Center, Iowa)  Bailey Weg,  a senior at Worthington Senior High School (Minnesota), has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender golf program.

“Bailey comes to Dordt from Worthington High School and she was coached by Paul Barduson, who described Bailey as a great teammate and leader at WHS.  Bailey had a strong playing career at WHS and will bring her strengths to Dordt University next fall.  With a low meet score of 42 last season, Bailey has shown that she can be a key contributor in our program right away and also bring a consistent score into our top-five.  I see Bailey only improving as a golfer and she will bring her strong faith and leadership to our campus and we are thrilled to have Bailey join Defender Nation in 2020," said Dordt golf coach Mark Christians.

Weg earned all-conference honors in 2016, 17, 18 and 19 and was Worthington's top golfer in 2019.

"The people at Dordt genuinely care about me and my future and are going to help me on my spiritual path as well as my education," said Weg.

Bailey is the daughter of Clay and Dannielle Weg of Worthington, Minnesota. She plans to study Business Administration at Dordt.
