Feenstra Earns Player of the Week Honors

(Tuesday, December 10; Sioux Center, Iowa) The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports have announced the players-of-the-week for contests played December 2-8, 2019. Dordt’s Erika Feenstra (Junior; Hull, Iowa) has earned the honor for the first time this season.
Feenstra averages 22.7 points per game for the Defenders in three wins over Dakota State, Jamestown and Midland. She converted 62.2 percent of her 45 field goal attempts and also averaged 6.7 rebounds per game.
Feenstra is averaging 21.7 points per game this season and has scored 20 points or more in nine of the Defenders’ 13 games. She is taking in 6.6 rebounds per game and is among the NAIA’s leaders in points per game and field goal percentage where she is converting 68.3 percent of her tries.
Dordt is off to a 12-1 start this season and have two games this week against Bellevue and Hastings. The Bellevue contest is Tuesday night, December 10 in Sioux Center while the Hastings game concludes the 2019 portion of the schedule on Saturday, December 17 at Hastings.
