Wolf Named Regional Coach of the Year

(Friday, November 15; Sioux Center, Iowa) The 2019 NAIA Cross Country Regional Awards have been announced and Dordt’s Nate Wolf was named the Midwest Region Men’s Coach of the Year by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Wolf is in his fifth year of heading the women’s and men’s cross country programs at Dordt. This year’s Defender team won the Great Plains Athletic Conference men’s title with just 28 points.  Dordt also won the Dean White Invitational and Herb Blakely Invitational meets this season.

The Defender men have qualified for the NAIA National Championship meet for the second straight year and Wolf has now guided Dordt women’s and men’s cross country teams to seven NAIA National meets. Wolf was named the GPAC Men’s Coach of the Year earlier this week.

The Defenders will be running at the NAIA National Championship on Friday, November 22 at Vancouver, Washington.
