Dordt Art Gallery to host "Paired"

Gallery to host a variety of student artwork

Painting by Jenna Stephens

“Paired” is a celebration of Dordt students’ artwork that has been acquired over the years by the Dordt art committee and art faculty for the permanent collection at Dordt University. The exhibition showcases past student achievements and provides an eclectic overview of artwork created over the last three decades at Dordt University. The show will take place from August 30 until September 12.

The art department will host a reception in the gallery on Thursday, September 12 from 7-8:30 p.m. to celebrate Paired. Stop by for refreshments and a gallery talk with Gallery Director David Platter at the closing reception.

Following the Paired exhibition, the Art Gallery will highlight the photography-based artwork of Dordt University’s Carl Fictorie, professor of chemistry, on September 16. This exhibit will coincide with the Arts in the Prairie event.
