Wanninger To Attend Dordt

(Monday, June 3; Sioux Center, Iowa) Nathan Wanninger, a recent graduate of Twin Peaks Charter Academy (Colorado), has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender soccer program.

Wanninger scored 25 goals and had nine assists as a senior and was named the conference player of the year while also claiming first-team honors and all-state honorable mention accolades.   He's played forward and center back during his career  and also competed for the St. Vrain FC club team.

"Nathan is a hardworking and driven individual. He possesses a high soccer IQ combined with quality technical ability. We are excited to have Nathan at Dordt, he will fit our campus and team culture well," said Dordt soccer coach Ryan Gresse.

Nathan is the son of Pete and Pam Wanninger of Berthoud, Colorado. He plans to study Accounting and Economics at Dordt.

Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian university rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). 

U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
