Five Women's Golfers Named Scholar-Athletes

(Wednesday, May 29; Sioux Center, Iowa) The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced 156 women’s golfer student-athletes have been named 2019 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Dordt had five athletes included on the list.
Molly Banks (Junior; Psychology; Milaca, Minnesota), Alyssa Fedders (Junior; Psychology; Sioux Center, Iowa), Mackenzie Peterson (Junior; Business Administration; Shakopee, Minnesota) and Anna Vander Griend (Junior; Education; West Point, Nebraska) all earned the honor for the first time while Kayla Glashower (Senior; Education; Jenison, Michigan) is a repeat honoree from 2018.
In order to be nominated by an institution a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
