Anema Joins Defender Basketball

(Thursday, May 23; Sioux Center, Iowa) Taylor Anema, a senior at Ripon Christian High School (California), has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender basketball program.
Anema is 5-9 and played guard and forward during her high school career. She averaged 6.2 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.0 steal and 1.1 assists per game. She was an TVL all-league honorable mention pick and was a TVL Scholar-Athlete. She also competed in volleyball and was an all-league honorable mention selection.
Taylor is the daughter of Paul and Amy Anema of Ripon, California. She plans to study Biology at Dordt.
Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian university rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).
U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
