(Thursday, May 9; Sioux Center, Iowa) Grace Nanninga, a student at Edmonton Christian High School (Alberta), has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender volleyball program.
Nanninga was a part of a city champion in 2016 and was named a Metro All-Star in 2019. She helped Pandas Volleyball Club to a fourth place finish at Nationals in 2018 and they were Best of the West Champions in 2017 and 2019.
“Grace is a great athlete with explosiveness as an attacker and quickness to cover the court defensively. She will provide depth for us in our outside hitter position. We are grateful for the development that Grace has experienced through the training of her high school coach Alyssa Jones and club coach Janelle Rozema. Grace will be a wonderful addition to our university and we look forward to her arrival this August.”
Grace is the daughter of Quentin and Charlene Nanninga of Edmonton, Alberta. She plans to study Health and Human Performance.
