Vaughn Commits To Dordt

(Friday, January 18; Sioux Center, Iowa) Alexander Vaughn, a senior at Billings West High School (Montana), ha announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender baseball program.
Vaughn batted .326 for Billings West with 34 doubles, eight stolen bases and a .424 on base percentage. He's played outfield and was the Wahpeton Tournament MVP and was twice named to the National Invitational Team.
“We are excited to have Alex at Dordt College. He is a very athletic player who will have an impact on our team in many ways," said Dordt baseball coach Jeff Schouten.
Alexander is the son of Mychel and Robert Vaughn of Billings, Montana. He plans to study Mechanical Engineering at Dordt.
Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).
U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
