Kaster Joins Defender Programs

(Monday, November 26; Sioux Center, Iowa) Greichaly Kaster, a senior at Harlan Community High School (Iowa), has announced her intention to attend Dordt College and join the Defender cross country and track programs.
Kaster is a four-time Iowa High School State Cross Country Meet qualifier and has earned a spot at the Iowa High School State Track and Field Championships three times. She has a personal best of 19:36 on a 5,000 meter cross country course and has run the 3,000 meters in 11:16 and the 1,500 in 5:20. Kaster is a four-time all-conference selection in cross country and has earned academic honors at the state and conference level. She helped Harlan finish eighth at the Iowa State Cross Country Meet in October.
"I am excited to have Greichaly join our women's program. She is a talented runner and incredible student who is a perfect fit for Dordt College. She will impact our team and campus in a multitude of ways. I look forward to working with her over the next four years and watching her develop on our team," said Dordt College cross country coach and assistant track and field coach Nate Wolf.
Greichaly is the daughter of Bryan and Amy Kaster of Harlan, Iowa. She plans to study Education at Dordt College.
Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).
U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
